We are pleased to inform you that Anchor Institute-chemicals & petrochemicals at this University promoted by Industries Commissionerate, Government of Gujarat completed its 1st year of operation. It has organized ten training courses for different level of participants. 140 industrial, 117 faculty members and 148 students of Degree, Diploma Chemical Engineering and ITI Chemical trade have attended the training courses. The overall feedback taken at the end of each course   is very good as regards to the faculty members, course material and other aspects like hospitality etc.

As known, the modern chemical industries face global competition. It is therefore, essential that the products coming out of the industry are, both ways, quantity and quality wise competitive ad acceptable. Parametric control and data analysis are very important for this purpose.

Anchor Institute- Chemicals & Petrochemicals sector has designed the course considering the above aspect with the help of home faculty members and Prof. Sirish L Shah an eminent expert from University of Alberta Canada,

The course will be conducted in two modules. Module I by Dr. Rao and other DDU expert Faculty members and Module II by Professor Dr. Sirish L Shah, NSERC-Matrikon-Suncor-iCORE Senior Industrial Research Chair, Department of Chemical & Materials Engineering, University of Alberta Canada

We may conduct some introductory session on Sunday November 21, 2010 exclusively for participants who are willing to join only the second module of the program so that they can be comfortable during the said module

Both the modules consist of Theory and Practice Sessions.
