The department manages the Internet Connectivity (28 Mbps leased line) , Intranet connectivity, Firewall and Website of the university since more than 2 decades.

The department has a strong tie up with various industries across the country resulting into a very high on/off campus placements. Few major recruiters include TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Accenture, Zensar, Infibeam, iGATE PATNI, C-SAM etc. After few years of industrial experience, many departmental alumni have been working with companies such as Microsoft, Intel, IBM, Yahoo and others, both in India and abroad, most of them in USA.

The high percentage of recruitment is due to state-of-the-art curriculum which is reviewed twice a year on an average. Experts from reputed industries, academic & research organizations like IIMA, ISRO, PRL, TCS etc. give their suggestions and feedback for curriculum updates which makes the curricula knowledge oriented and thus not only fulfils the needs of industries but also helps our students getting into good R&D organizations / universities abroad as well as in India. The combination of up-to-date curriculum and the committed, dedicated and the competent faculty members has helped our students excel at the national level for last many years in GATE exam for admission to IITs and other reputed institutes of the country. In GATE 2013, one of our students has scored 11th rank in the country out of approximately 2.25 Lacs students in Computer Science & Engg. stream with 99.99 percentile marks without any kind of external coaching or joining any GATE related forum.

The students carry out their final semester internship in major software companies and some students who plan for abroad studies prefer to carry out their training at top institute / research organization like IIT Mumbai, Tata Research Development and Design Centre, Pune, ISRO, PRL, IPR etc.

There is a quantum value addition through participation of students and faculty members in various technical events organized at national and international levels. Recently, in the E-Yantra Competition organized by Indian Institute of Technology-Bombay for the first time and sponsored by Ministry of Human Resource & Development, Government of India, our team scored the third position among 35 teams from various institutes and organizations across the country who participated in the Robotics competition under the Pick-placer theme.
