ACADEMIC REGULATIONS

For admission to the annual Examination a student

  1. Should have kept two terms in the respective class (F.Y./S.Y./T.Y. as the case may be)   in an faculty for teaching courses of study in Bachelor of Business Administration by the University.
  2. Should have obtained at least 40% marks in all the paper individually in the internal tests conducted by the faculty.

For the purpose of deciding final result at the First Year B.B.A., Second Year B.B.A. and Third Year B.B.A. Examinations , the ratio between the internal assessment and the final University Examination shall be 40:60.For the purpose of Internal assessment ( including Assignments, Term paper etc. ) the faculty concerned will conduct at least one test in each term. The faculty shall also arrange Quizes, Term Papers, Assignments etc.

The internal examination carries 40 marks. Detail break-up is as under,

Internal test                                          25 marks
Attendance and Assignments                  5 marks.
Weekly tests                                         10 marks.

The Weekly test for all the classes and for all the papers will be held during first period and total test for each class will come nearly to 50.      A student desirous of appearing at the First Year B.B.A.,Second Year B.B.A. and Third Year B.B.A. Examinations , must forward their application in the prescribed form accompanied by certificate of attendance, to the Registrar/Controller of Examinations through the Director of the Faculty on or before the date prescribed for the purpose under the relevant ordinances.

CRITERION OF PASSING IN A SUBJECT  ( FOR EVERY YEAR OF THE COURSE )

Minimum 40% of the maximum marks separately in each head of passing OR Minimum 30% of the maximum marks separately in each head of passing provided the total obtained is the minimum 45% of the maximum marks for the subject.

  1. (i). Exemption : A  student who fails in the Examination will be permitted to appear only in the heads in which he has failed. The student will be permitted to reappear in external  & viva-voce/practical examinations of all the subjects only in  T.Y.BBA to become eligible for securing the class, provided he/she fails in an external or a viva-voce/practical examination of one or more subjects in it, in which case the passing marks of all other heads will be carried forward. A student passing the Examination in compartments in the manner herein provided for, shall not be eligible for  a prize or scholarship to be awarded at the Examination or for the award of class.
  2. (ii).A.T.K.T. A student who fails at the F.Y.B.B.A Examination in not more than two papers will be permitted to keep terms for the S.Y.B.B.A course but will not be declared to have passed the S.Y.B.B.A exam unless he / she appears and passes in the papers of the F.Y.B.B.A. Examination in which he / she has failed either previously or simultaneously with the S.Y.B.B.A Examination.
    There are two examinations chances in a year for ATKT students.The faculty will conduct WEEKLY Tests, besides the assignments frequently and further the two internal tests in a year for the students & thereby providing a unique and rigorous monitoring of the teaching learning process. A student undergoing through such continuous evaluation efforts can not be permitted to enter into the next year if having failed in more than three subjects of a current year examination; even if admitted in the next year he/she won’t be able to concentrate and thereby to succeed over the two things simultaneously i.e. the continuous evaluation study of the year in which admitted; and the passing in the examination of previous year subjects, and thereby the student may get trapped into the successive failures.
    A student who fails at the S.Y.B.B.A. Examination in not more than two papers will be permitted to keep terms for the T.Y.B.B.A. course and will not be declared to have passed the T.Y.B.B.A. Examination unless he / she appears and passes in the papers of the S.Y.B.B.A. examination in which he / she has failed either previously or simultaneously with the T.Y.B.B.A Examination .
    Attendance will be compulsory in the programme. A candidate whose overall attendance is less than 75%, will not be allowed to appear in the examination.

Award of Degree

The student will be declared to have passed the final examination leading to the award of Bachelor of Business Administration in First Class with Destinction OR First Class OR Second Class as the case may be, provided he/she passes all the external  and viva-voce exams in all the concerned subjects together at a time   in T.Y.BBA.Also a class will be awarded according to the following table based on the percentage of the marks obtained by the student, calculated on the basis of the total marks obtained in T.Y.BBA :

In all the other cases the student will be declared to have passed the examination in PASS class.
